Wallkill posted their closest win since September 30, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Saugerties Sawyers 1-0. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Wallkill and bumps their season record up to 3-1-1.

Wallkill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Mount Academy on the 30th. As for Saugerties, they are taking a road trip to face off against New Paltz at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Sawyers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
