Calvert won the last time they faced St. Mary Central Catholic and things went their way on Monday too. The Senecas walked away with an 8-4 win over the Panthers. With that victory, the Senecas brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Tucker Coleman tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk).
At the plate, Calvert's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Moyer, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Moyer also hit a double, marking his first of the season.
