Volleyball Recap: Roger Bacon Takes a Loss

If Roger Bacon was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Fairfield on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans came up short against the Elder Panthers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered since April 14th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-16.

Andrew Weigand paced Roger Bacon's offense, picking up eight kills. Weigand got some help from Alex Weigand and his 17 assists.

Roger Bacon's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Elder, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.

Roger Bacon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Bishop Fenwick on the 1st. As for Elder, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against La Salle on the 1st.
