Basketball Recap: Chaminade Takes a Loss

Chaminade lost against Crespi back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Chaminade Eagles were outmatched by the Crespi Celts and fell 96-62. The Eagles were down 69-44 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, Chaminade still got an impressive performance from Christopher Cordero, who posted 13 points. The dominant performance gave Cordero a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Magee, who had eight points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crespi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Peyton White, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Shaun Kowlessar was another key player, going 7 for 13 on his way to 18 points and five steals.

Chaminade has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-6 record this season. As for Crespi, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Chaminade will be playing in front of their home fans against Notre Dame (SO) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crespi, they will square off against Loyola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
