Baseball Recap: South Harrison Comes Up Short

After flying high against Moorefield on Monday, South Harrison came back down to earth. The Hawks fell just short of the Frankfort Falcons by a score of 8-7 on Wednesday.

Zane Harlow put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Corey Saltis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

South Harrison's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Frankfort, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

South Harrison has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 victory against St. Marys on the 24th. As for Frankfort, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-0 win against Keyser on the 24th.
