It was a good run, but Stephenville unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Brock Eagles by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Stephenville was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Brock work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-15, 22-25, 22-25, 17-15.

Stephenville's defeat dropped their record down to 28-11. As for Brock, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 27-8.

Stephenville and Brock should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Yellow Jackets/Honeybees will face off against Mineral Wells at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (130 vs. 696). Meanwhile, Brock (ranked 90th) will meet Brownwood (ranked 639th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
