Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Centennial was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They lost 12-2 to the Burleson Elks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered since March 8th.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Burleson, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-9.

When Centennial and Burleson next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Spartans will face off against Mansfield Timberview and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Burleson will try to stop Joshua's six-game winning streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Elks 3.8, the Owls 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
