Soccer Game Preview: Irvine vs. Portola + How To Watch

The Irvine Vaqueros will head out to take on the Portola Bulldogs at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Irvine came up short against Sage Hill on Wednesday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Irvine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 839th, while Sage Hill are ranked 413th).

Meanwhile, Portola didn't have quite enough to beat Northwood on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Irvine and nudges their season record down to 3-10-1. As for Portola, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6-1.
