Football Recap: Newman International Academy Comes Up Short

Newman International Academy fell victim to Harvest Christian Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 56-0 loss at the hands of the Saints. The loss leaves the Warriors still looking for their first win of the season.

The critical scores for Harvest Christian Academy came from Keaton Hayes, Armando Franklin, Elliott Highsmith, JJ Larrauri, Chance Bramer, Garrett Greene, and Zane Barnett.

Newman International Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Newman International Academy and Waco Christian will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. Waco Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Vanguard College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
