Mid-Carolina waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the Hillcrest Rams with a sharp 7-1 victory. Considering the Rebels have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mid-Carolina's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hillcrest, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11.

Looking ahead, Mid-Carolina will welcome Brashier Middle College Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bengal have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.14 runs per game on average), something the Rebels will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hillcrest, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-3 defeat against Woodmont on the 29th.
