West Stanly extended their postseason success on Friday against West Davidson. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Dragons a 1-0 shutout. Give the Colts' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

West Stanly has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for West Davidson, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 17-10 record.

Looking ahead, West Stanly will square off against North Stanly on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Colts 2.3, the Comets 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. West Davidson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
