Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Dos Palos' 11th in Last 12 Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Dos Palos rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Chavez Titans by a score of 6-1. That's more bragging rights for the Broncos, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Breann Raney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on ten hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jayla Bland and Liliana DelaRosa did most of the damage at the plate: Bland went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while DelaRosa went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. DelaRosa has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Samantha VonAllman was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Dos Palos is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-8-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Chavez, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-14.

As of now, neither Dos Palos nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
