Bayside had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They breezed by the Cocoa Beach Minutemen to the tune of  65-36. Given the Bears' advantage  in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings  (they are ranked 277th, while the Minutemen are ranked 584th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
Bayside can attribute much of their success to  Caden Newton, who  went 6 of 13  on his way to 12  points and three  steals. Another player making a difference was  Omar Clarke, who  posted 11 points along with six  boards and five  steals.
 Bayside  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with 11  offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  pulled down at least nine  offensive rebounds in four consecutive  contests.
 Cocoa Beach lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Max Louis, who  dropped  a double-double on ten  points and 13  rebounds. That's the most  boards  Louis has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jude Mohr-Bollinger, who  earned nine points and three  steals.
Bayside is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Cocoa Beach, they moved to 8-13 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 Coincidentally, Bayside and Cocoa Beach will both be playing Satellite the next time they take the court. Bayside will  host Satellite at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday, while Cocoa Beach will  host them  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
