Zach Cwalinski Delivers Best Performance of Season

Zach Cwalinski produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Valley View to the win on Friday. Cwalinski rushed for 165 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 107 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards.

The win (which was Valley View's seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Cwalinski and Valley View will look to defend their home field on Friday against Wyoming Valley West at 7:00 p.m.

While Michael Iuzzolino delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Delaware Valley. Valley View had no answer to Iuzzolino as he made 17 total tackles.

With the defeat, Delaware Valley broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-5. They and North Pocono are set to duel on Friday.

Nick Bradley Turns in Season-Best Performance

Abington Heights was led to victory by Nick Bradley, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Thursday. Bradley rushed for 31 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 216 yards and two touchdowns. He is becoming a predictor of Abington Heights' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

The win got Abington Heights back to even at 4-4. Bradley will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Scranton on Friday.

Nick Kucharski and Co. Win Seventh in a Row

Valley View picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Nick Kucharski. Kucharski did his part (and then some), rushing for 80 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 40 receiving yards for the 'W'. He didn't just play on offense: he also made eight total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

For the year, Kucharski has averaged 23.2 receiving yards per game.
