Volleyball Recap: Guerin Catholic Takes a Loss

Guerin Catholic extended their losing streak to seven on Monday, dropping their season record down to 5-8 in the process. They lost 3-0 to the Zionsville Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

As for Zionsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Winning may never get old, but they sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Zionsville can attribute much of their success to Landon Scroggins, who had nine digs and two assists. Chris Hardt also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Looking ahead, Guerin Catholic will face off against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Zionsville, they will square off against Fishers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
