Softball Recap: Stuart W. Cramer Comes Up Short

Stuart W. Cramer had lost five straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-7 to make it six. They lost 22-11 to the Shelby Golden Lions. The Storm were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Golden Lions earlier this season, when they won 25-10.

Shelby's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

For Shelby's part, Kennedy Collins was excellent, going 2-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs Collins has posted since back in April of 2025. Julianna Vaughan was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Coming up, Stuart W. Cramer will take on Burns at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shelby, they will face off against Forestview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
