Softball Recap: Winneconne Comes Up Short

The Winneconne Wolves didn't have quite enough to beat the Southern Door Eagles on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Grace Mitchell made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Aubrey Mitchell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Winneconne's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Southern Door, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Winneconne will face off against Plymouth at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Door does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
