Volleyball Recap: Riverside Chargers vs. Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stuart, Riverside was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chargers also won the last time the pair played back in August.

The victory didn't come easy: Chambers/Wheeler Central scored at least points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16.

Autumn Murphy was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs.

Riverside was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Riverside has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Fullerton the next time they take the court. Riverside will host Fullerton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Chambers/Wheeler Central will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
