After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Melvindale, Annapolis was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Crestwood Chargers. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won six in a row.

Mason Barc made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. He also got a hit, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, Annapolis got a big performance out of James Harris, who went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Harris is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Gael Martinez was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Annapolis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-6. As for Crestwood, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Annapolis will take on rival Romulus at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crestwood is set to square off against their familiar foe Redford Union at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
