Columbia Central waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Coffee County Central Red Raiders get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. Six seems to be a good number for the Lions as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The result came thanks to Gavin Beddingfield's shutout, as he gave up just five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kwan Sims, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since April 1st. Jack Beck was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Columbia Central's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Coffee County Central, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-16.

As of now, neither Columbia Central nor the Red Raiders have any future games scheduled.
