Softball Game Preview: Fresno Warriors vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The Fresno Warriors will square off against the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

Fresno is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since April 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Torres by a score of 13-11. Even if the Warriors couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Emily Navarro led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Those hits marked the first that she got this season. Alexie Navarro was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Roosevelt had taken Hoover down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Rough Riders lost 13-1 to the Patriots.

Fresno's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.

Fresno beat Roosevelt 8-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rough Riders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
