Softball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds, falling 16-2. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Greyhounds from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for New Ulm Cathedral, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Greyhounds beat Springfield by a score of 8-0 later that day.
