If River Valley was riding high fresh off their 60-39 takedown of Eau Claire last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The River Valley Mustangs took a 62-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Buffalo Bison. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Bison recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

New Buffalo's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Forker, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. Forker's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Samuel Tripp was another key player, putting up ten points and seven assists.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for New Buffalo, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
