The Young Americans Christian Eagles''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They blew past New Creation Christian Academy 50-14 at home. The result was nothing new for Young Americans Christian, who have now won six contests by 26 points or more so far this season.
Jayden Sigur went supernova for Young Americans Christian, rushing for 162 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 35 yards and a touchdown on only three passes. Sigur was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Adams, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown.
Young Americans Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for New Creation Christian Academy, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Young Americans Christian will square off against Central Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Central Christian is ranked 13th, while Young Americans Christian is ranked tenth). As for New Creation Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Covington Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Covington Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
