            Softball Recap: Amphitheater Panthers vs. Flowing Wells Caballeros        
        
		
        
        
            Amphitheater extended their losing streak  to seven  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 1-9 in the process. They came up short against  the Flowing Wells Caballeros, falling  17-1. The Panthers were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Caballeros from their previous meeting  back in February of 2022.
  Isabella Espinoza made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  triple and one  run.
As for Flowing Wells, their victory  ended  a  five-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 13-14. The  match marked their most dominant  win of the  season.
On Flowing Wells' side,  Janessa Aguilar made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Aguilar has been consistent: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news, Flowing Wells let  Yesenia Solano and  Vivian Castaneda run wild. Solano  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs, while  Castaneda  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  hits gave  Castaneda a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Brisiana Quevedo, who  went 1-for-2 with three  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Amphitheater has already played their next game,  a  12-0  loss against Douglas on the 15th. As for Flowing Wells, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  an  18-3  defeat against Pueblo on the 15th.
