Softball Recap: Rockledge Takes a Loss

If Rockledge was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Titusville last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders came up short against the Egg Harbor Township Eagles on Wednesday, falling 17-6.

Rockledge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Ravenscroft, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Another was Gizelle Arteaga, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Rockledge has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 4-12 record this season. As for Egg Harbor Township, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.

Rockledge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-4 defeat against Blanchester on the 8th. As for Egg Harbor Township, they will take on Paul VI at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
