Basketball Recap: Choctawhatchee Comes Up Short

Choctawhatchee was the 41-36 winner over Niceville when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Choctawhatchee Indians took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Niceville Eagles on Thursday.

Niceville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Fayard, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. Maddie Miller was another key player, putting up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Choctawhatchee's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Niceville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Choctawhatchee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-31 victory against Bay on the 10th. As for Niceville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-52 win against Crestview on the 10th.
