Basketball Recap: Oak Harbor Takes a Loss

Oak Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 69-40 defeat at the hands of the Genoa Area Comets. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 709th, while the Comets are ranked 178th).

Oak Harbor's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Genoa Area, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oak Harbor will head out to square off against Maumee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Oak Harbor is facing Maumee at the right time seeing as Maumee is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Genoa Area, they will face off against Lake at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Genoa Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Lake likes a good challenge.
