Basketball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was the 44-34 winner over Ysleta when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell 32-28 to the Indians on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly four points.

Ysleta was led to victory by Alexa Estrada and Lynnette Munoz. Estrada posted four points and seven rebounds, while Munoz earned eight points and eight boards.

Austin now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Ysleta, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Austin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 21-17 victory against Bowie on the 14th. As for Ysleta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-34 defeat against Mountain View on the 14th.
