Basketball Game Preview: Redondo Union Sea Hawks vs. Peninsula Panthers

The Redondo Union Sea Hawks will head out to challenge the Peninsula Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Redondo Union's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Redondo Union can't be too worried about heading out to take on Peninsula: they just beat Los Alamitos at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Redondo Union enjoyed a cozy 92-75 win over Los Alamitos on Saturday. Given the Sea Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Griffins are ranked 30th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Peninsula was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Palos Verdes, falling 51-27.

Redondo Union pushed their record up to 20-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Peninsula, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Everything came up roses for Redondo Union against Peninsula when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 79-21 win. In that matchup, Redondo Union amassed a halftime lead of 47-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
