Softball Recap: Jourdanton Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jourdanton can now relate to. They lost 10-4 to the Lexington Eagles on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Thursday.

Bobbiejo Gonzales made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Jourdanton's loss dropped their record down to 25-16. As for Lexington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season.

Jourdanton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lexington, they will venture away from home to face off against Coahoma at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their 33rd straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
