West Washington strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Austin Eagles. This was payback for the Senators, who suffered a 9-8 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Eli Haley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits.

At the plate, Iziah Dennis was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Brady Rosenbaum, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

West Washington pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Austin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Coming up, West Washington will challenge Springs Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Austin, they are taking a road trip to take on Brownstown Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
