Dre Weddington and Sophia Romer secure win for Glenn

Recap: Glenn Falcons vs. South Bend St. Joseph Indians

The Glenn Falcons had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against South Bend St. Joseph by a score of 41-30 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Glenn also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Glenn was led to victory by Dre Weddington and Sophia Romer. Weddington scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Romer scored ten points along with five rebounds. Addison Reese was another key contributor, scoring six points.

South Bend St. Joseph lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kayla Woods, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. The matchup was Woods' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenadie Schrock, who scored seven points along with four steals.

The win got Glenn back to even at 9-9. As for South Bend St. Joseph, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.

Glenn will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Winamac at 12:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Winamac is ranked 187th, while Glenn is ranked 205th). As for South Bend St. Joseph, they will take on Lowell at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
