Softball Recap: Norwayne's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Norwayne saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came up short against the Lexington Minutemen, falling 18-6. The matchup marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Norwayne fell to 5-1. As for Lexington, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwayne will welcome Northwestern at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Lexington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shelby at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Minutemen have won six straight at home dating back to last season, while the Whippets won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
