Football Recap: Franklin Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Heritage Christian Academy

Franklin Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Heritage Christian Academy. The Cougars fell 34-24 to the Warriors. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heritage Christian Academy was led to victory by Daniel Lincoln and Boston Laursen. Lincoln gained 179 total yards and a touchdown, while Laursen rushed for 34 yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, Lincoln racked up 144 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.

Franklin Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6.

As of now, neither Franklin Academy nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
