Soccer Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral managed to keep up with Mesa until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Chaparral Firebirds came up short against the Mesa Jackrabbits, falling 4-0. The Firebirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jackrabbits apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Chaparral now has a losing record at 0-1-1. As for Mesa, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Chaparral will head out to face off against Saguaro at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mesa, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Campo Verde on the 6th.
