Mead entered their tilt with Niwot on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They enjoyed a cozy 68-53 win over the Niwot Cougars. The Mavericks pushed the score to 54-34 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cougars cut but never quite recovered from.

Mead's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Angelo, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. Angelo is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last ten games he's played. George Hubert was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to seven assists and six rebounds.

Mead smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Niwot only pulled down three offensive boards.

Despite the loss, Niwot still got an impressive performance from Sebastian Stenz, who went 5 of 10 en route to 16 points. Milo Peterson also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

Mead pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Niwot, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Mead has already played their next match, an 82-58 defeat against Horizon on the 28th. As for Niwot, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 98-26 loss against Broomfield on the 28th.
