Softball Game Preview: Williamsburg Academy Stallions vs. Carolina Academy Bobcats

The Williamsburg Academy Stallions will square off against the Carolina Academy Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg Academy knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Carolina Academy likes a good challenge.

Williamsburg Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Lee Academy on Wednesday. The Stallions were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Cavaliers. The win continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Cavaliers: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Carolina Academy's offense. They lost 9-0 to Pee Dee Academy on Thursday. The Bobcats' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Williamsburg Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Carolina Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Williamsburg Academy came up short against Carolina Academy in their previous meeting back in March, falling 10-7. Can the Stallions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
