Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harlingen). They blew past the San Benito Greyhounds 10-2 on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cardinals needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Ernesto Aleman looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Justin Noyola, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Isaiah Gaytan was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The victory got Harlingen back to even at 13-13. As for San Benito, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Harlingen does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Benito, they will face off against Mission Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Greyhounds' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
