It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Valley Catholic ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 72-65 victory over the Portland Adventist Academy Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Valiants also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Portland Adventist Academy still got an impressive performance from Dane Petersen, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Petersen has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Trygg Patchin, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.
