Berean Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over the Hixson Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berean Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniel Wigginton, who went 8-for-13 en route to 24 points and eight rebounds. Wigginton is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in each of the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Mayer Weatherly, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 16 points.

Berean Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Hixson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berean Academy will challenge St. Andrews-Sewanee at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hixson, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chattanooga Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
