Anson had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-4 to make it seven. They took a 28-12 bruising from the Huss Huskies. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Huskies are ranked 135th).

Despite the defeat, Anson had strong showings from Cordarrius Bivens, who rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown, and Tasean Harris, who rushed for 82 yards. Bivens didn't just play on offense: he also made one tackle and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

As for Huss, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.3 points on average over those games.
