Volleyball Game Preview: Fairport Red Raiders vs. Irondequoit Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Fairport Red Raiders and the Irondequoit Eagles will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Fairport saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Portville.

Meanwhile, Irondequoit unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Our Lady of Mercy by a score of 2-1.

Fairport will have to contain Sadie Leger as she made an impact in Irondequoit's last game. She had five digs and four aces.

Fairport's record is now 2-5. As for Irondequoit, their record now sits at 14-3-3.

Fairport beat Irondequoit 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
