Softball Recap: Andover Huskies vs. Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons
Andover's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons a 10-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won five in a row.

Megan Surgenor made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Avery Stock was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Chloe Brown was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Andover's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Robbinsdale Armstrong, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Andover is set to face off against their familiar foe Anoka at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Huskies 2.8, the Tornadoes 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Robbinsdale Armstrong will take on rival Coon Rapids at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
