Bear Creek had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Lakewood Tigers to the tune of 43-9 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

A big part of Bear Creek's win came down to the chemistry between Riley Wilson and his top target Kamari May. Wilson threw for 209 yards while completing 75% of his passes while May picked up 117 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 117 receiving yards gave May a new career-high.

Coming up, Bear Creek will challenge Skyline at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakewood, they will square off against Rangeview at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
