Circle (9-2) has a real challenge coming up -- the hardest it has met all year. It is set to face off against Flint Creek co-op [Drummond/Granite] (10-0) in a playoff match this Saturday at 11:00 AM. Circle is currently on a seven-game winning streak and looking to extend its dominance.
Last week, Circle took on Tri-City co-op [Hobson/Moore/Judith Gap]. Circle's defense took a beating in the first half, giving up 22 points. That put it down 22 - 20. In the second half, however, Circle's defense made a stand, allowing a meager zero points. That ultimately gave them a 34 - 22 win.
Meanwhile, Flint Creek co-op [Drummond/Granite] can now show off eight landslide victories after its most recent game. It dominated last week, steamrollering Fairview 46 - 8. Flint Creek co-op [Drummond/Granite] was already ahead 46 - 8 by the end of the half, putting Fairview too far behind.
It should be a fierce showdown as Circle is 10th in the MaxPreps state rankings and Flint Creek co-op [Drummond/Granite] is 1st. We'll find out on Saturday who wants it more.
