Basketball Recap: Ringgold Comes Up Short

Ringgold lost against Airline back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ringgold Redskins fell just short of the Airline Vikings by a score of 55-52.

When it comes to explaining why Ringgold lost, don't look at LaDaunte McCoy. Despite the final result, he went 7 of 16 en route to 24 points and seven rebounds. McCoy is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was KuVell Manning, who posted 12 points in addition to six assists and three steals.

Ringgold's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Airline, they moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ringgold and Union Parish will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Union Parish's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Airline, they will welcome Ebarb at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
