Football Recap: San Clemente Takes a Loss + How To Watch

San Clemente lost against Murrieta Valley back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tritons fell 26-14 to the Nighthawks.

Although San Clemente took the loss, they still got scores from Shane Kiley and Carson Sloan.

Jeremiah Watson produced another solid performance rushing for 207 yards and two scores while picking up 7.1 yards per carry for Murrieta Valley. Those 207 rushing yards gave Watson a new career-high.

San Clemente's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Murrieta Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. San Clemente will square off against Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tritons will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Murrieta Valley, they will face off against Norco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Nighthawks' defense better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 39 points per game this season.
