Volleyball Recap: Harrisburg Starts Season with Win Against Brandon Valley

Harrisburg had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Brandon Valley Lynx by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their 32nd in a row dating back to last season.

Harrisburg had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-12, 25-22, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Lindsay Langner, who had 14 digs and two aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Langner wasn't the only good server: Harrisburg was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 17 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Harrisburg will head out to challenge Yankton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brandon Valley, they will challenge Northwestern Area on Saturday.
