Baseball Preview: Saranac Spartans vs. Beekmantown Eagles

Saranac is 0-10 against Beekmantown since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Saranac Spartans are on the road again to play the Beekmantown Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Saranac is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

In what's become a running theme this season, Saranac gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. Everything went their way against AuSable Valley as Saranac made off with a 14-2 win. While fans of Saranac might be used to big wins, the 12-run margin marked the team's biggest one yet.

Brady Blair and Brody Macomber were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Blair struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Macomber pitched an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Blair scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Macomber went 4-for-6 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs.
